LIVESTREAM Human Rights Defender Launch - Climate Justice Special Issue

The scale of achieving climate justice may seem daunting, and never more so than in this year of pandemic.

This special issue of Human Rights Defender reminds us that rather than be overwhelmed, it is critical that we all focus on what we individually can do.

The Climate Justice issue brings together stories of the actual and potential impacts of climate change - from Torres Strait Islands to the highlands of the Andes - and highlights some of the tools available to pressure governments and corporations to change their policies and practices.

To launch the issue, ABC TV presenter Craig Reucassel is joined by Guest Editor Andy Symington and special guest contributors to the magazine for an online discussion that will include first-hand accounts of climate change impacts, and consider change through grassroots activism, legal and political reform.
